Fab Fit Fun Party + My Stay in LA....

Wow so I should have gotten this up a couple of weeks ago, but I've been slammed so forgive me, better late than never and it doesn't make it any less interesting!! I promise!

I usually dread my trips up to LA from San Diego, I lived in LA for about 10 years and I was just so over it when I moved that I never want to go back. But I often have to travel up to LA on business. This time, it was because I was invited to the Fab Fit Fun party in West Hollywood, and I was SO excited to attend the event I dealt with the traffic up! :P Last minute, I decided to book a hotel while I was there because I didn't wanna drive back after the party. I mean, can you blame me? There was an open bar! Not only that... but there were topless men with trays giving away beauty products. Now THAT is a party I can get behind, hence the reason I drove 2.5 hours to attend!

I had such a lovely time attending this event. They pulled out all the stops... it was at The Mondrian in West Hollywood which is a high-end, over priced hotel and venue, but that made it all the more fun since I attended for free :)

My husband and I enjoyed some martinis and some red wine! Favorite! We left at a reasonable hour and we were sent off with an awesome Fab Fit Fun box of goodies!

Oh yeah, so back to booking a hotel last minute... I used one of my favorite hotel booking apps to book my stay at what became my FAVORITE hotel in all of LA, and I've stayed in a LOT of hotels in LA, mind you. This hotel is called The Farmer's Daughter. Super quirky and strange name, which really intrigued me. I didn't expect too much, because most places in LA seem to just really want your $ and don't give a rats ass about your stay or your experience. This hotel is different. We were greeted by some super sweet people, and some freshly made chocolate chip cookies, chyeaahhh! The staff was genuinely engaged in our conversation and they were super helpful. I was impressed. They even had two parakeets in their lobby, I LOVE this. The great hospitality and positive attitudes continued... I was pleasantly surprised. On our way to our room, we immediately fell in LOVE with the restaurant, the pool and all of the common areas. We located our room, and the rooms are SO cute. They are decorated with great taste and they are super unique. My favorite, was that there's a see through, glass panel for a wall between the toilet and bedroom! With a curtain to cover it if you wanted, of course.

Before we headed to the Fab Fit Fun party, I had to edit a video and do some voice over stuff so I could get videos out to you guys on my regular schedule! Although, I really just wanted to swim in their pool, filled with ADULT SIZED RUBBER DUCKIES, whatttt! Or maybe sit on their community computer that had a glass container full of caramel candies....

After the Fab Fit Fun party, we came back to hang out in their awesome restaurant, which has SUPER good food! Too many pork options if you ask me (I don't eat pork), BUT everything that I tried was fabulous. They also had a FANTASTIC tea cup collection which impressed me, I love tea. Their bartender Franz was the coolest. He was so personable, so much fun... and EXTREMELY handsome. I could have sat there and stared at him for hours. My husband even referred to Franz as the bartender with the "magnificent ebony frame". haha! Franz was a pleasure and made the experience even more fun. You could have the COOLEST atmosphere, but if the people that work there hate life, and aren't personable, it SUCKSSSS my will to live.

Okay and it continues.... in the morning we had the coolest waiter for breakfast, I can't remember his name :( I had the best bloody mary and GUESS WHAT?! They had kettle cooked bbq chips at the front desk!!! Guess what I munched on to hold me over until my breakfast came? Yep, bbq chips. I was in 7th heaven!!

Needless to say, every time I come to LA, I hope they have a room open for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, The Farmers Daughter actually makes me look forward to coming to LA, shockingly enough. You'd almost think this post was sponsored because of how supportive I am of them, but as a business owner myself,  I just really appreciate a good business that cares about their patrons. It's obvious how much the owners and management care about their staff and their establishment, it shows through their employees dedication and attitude. I'm into it. I'm a forever fan. Keep it up Famer's Daughter! You've got my vote! :)
